Hirschbach is seeking Trailer Technicians at our Joliet, IL shop! Here you will complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on one of the newest and fully featured fleets. Come join our talented team of Technicians!

- Competitive Pay: Earn up to $38/hr based on experience
- Sunday - Wednesday OR Wednesday - Saturday, 6:00am-4:30pm
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6am-4:30pm
- Wednesday - Saturday, 4pm-2:30 with $3/hr shift differential
- 3 weeks (120 hours) of PTO from day ONE
- Paid weekly for your convenience

What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment issues
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
- Complete repair order and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
- Identify and properly classify repairs, including:
- Preventative maintenance
- Component failure
- Abuse
- Accident-related damage
- Record parts, materials, and repairs details using company systems
- Document repair stories, root causes, and corrective actions to support warranty recovery
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience
- Experience of diagnosing and repairing Class 8 equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and computer-based repair tools
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL A or B also a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks
- Proficient English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
