Hirschbach is seeking Mobile Technicians at our Cromwell, KY location! At Hirschbach you will complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on one of the newest and fully featured fleets. Come join our talented team of Technicians!
Pay & Benefits
- $18/hr - $33/hr based on experience
- $1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS!
- Paid weekly!
- 3 weeks of PTO upon hire!!
- 4-day work week (4x10)
- $6,240/annual ($3/hr) shift premium for 2nd shift positions
- $1,200/annual tool allowance
- $200/annual boot allowance
- $1,200/annual CDL A or B Stipend
- Uniforms provided with laundry services included

- 401(k) with match
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves trailer and occasional tractor related problems
- Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of necessary company paperwork repair orders, indirect labor forms, etc
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on trailer refrigeration units
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, fans, hoses, belts, and electronic controls
- Ensure that all repairs meet or exceed manufacturer’s specifications and company standards
- Performs preventive maintenance (PM’s) on tractor and trailer equipment as assigned.
- Properly categorize repairs (i.e. Preventative Maintenance, Component Failure, Abuse, and Accident, according to current company standards)
- Accurately record parts and supplies used in performing repairs, which may include scanning bar codes of parts, and recording consumable supplies
- Accurately record repair stories in order to properly document complaints, causes and corrections of component failures, and enable the company to recover warrantable expenses
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Position includes bending, lifting (up to 100 pounds), climbing, as it relates to maintenance of Class 8 equipment
- Assist other mechanics as needed
- Technical degree or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a refrigeration mechanic, specifically with trailer units.
- Understanding of transportation refrigeration operation and microprocessor control systems.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- 608 Certification.
- Basic computer skills as it applies to diagnostic tooling.
- Valid Driver's License
