SPOT Regional Director of Operations

Role and Responsibilities


Spot by Hirschbach is a wholly owned subsidiary of hirschbach motorlines. the spot division is focused to provide on-site services and local transportation solutions for our customers. the role of regional director of operations will have direct customer contact to manage existing site services, and be expected to identify, develop and implement new services with existing and new clients located near the existing sites. successful individuals will be great listeners, analytical, results driven,  innovative, Build long lasting relationships & demonstrate ground up leadership.
 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Regional Operations over-site of Spot on site services.
  • Direct oversite and Development of Site Managers and / or Supervisors.
  • Lead site rollout of all new programs such as Safety, New Services, Performance related, etc.
  • Accountable for Site(s) Performance Metrics & Site Operating Ratio (OR)
  • Manage profit and loss statements and account for costs and revenues.                              

New Site Start Up & SWOT Support

  • Role will lead new site startups within assigned Geographic region. This may require periods of travel up to 2 to 4 weeks on site. 
  • Role will support other new site startups outside of region. This may require periods of travel up to 1 to 2 weeks on site.
  •  Role may be asked to travel to assist “troubled” sites to realign service performance to customer expectations. This may require periods of travel up to 1 to 2 weeks on site.
  • Problem -solving: analyze past and current performance and recommend objectives to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Time-management: prioritize task to ensure that projects are completed by deadlines, streamline processes to maximize productivity.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Own objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of team representatives.
  • Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

 
Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS/MS Degree Required 
  • Previous Manager experience 
  • Detail oriented, strong communicator, relationship based.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Computer skills with knowledge in Excel, Word, Microsoft
