Driver Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Driver Support Specialist is at the very center of a fast-paced strategic environment. You have the opportunity to work with unique individuals and have a sense of value by helping drivers achieve their goals, growing the company organically, and resolving a wide variety of issues.

The successful candidates must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations associated with this position. In addition, the successful candidate should be able to define problems, collect data, and establish facts to assist with drawing a valid conclusion. This candidate should be able to work under minimal supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Audit Settlements & Troubleshoot/Coordinate Settlement/Payroll Issues with the correct department
  • Proactively monitor key metrics to ensure drivers success
  • Document daily interactions for reporting functionality
  • Create Driver Goal Achievement Plans
  • Develop innovative driver retention ideas to reduce turnover
  • Be an outlet for any driver for any issue and coordinate with the proper people to create resolution
  • Learn the business structure of Hirschbach to facilitate driver turnover reduction
  • Educate drivers of available business options
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates Degree in applicable field or in lieu of 3 years of operational experience required.
Experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled at multi-tasking and problem solving with strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience with AS-400 computer software.
  • Thorough operational process knowledge including an understanding of customer service philosophies and procedures and dispatch philosophies and procedures.
