IT Intern

Job Summary:

This position is a great opportunity to learn the IT process while being a part of a premiere transportation organization. The IT Intern will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. The IT Intern would be responsible for the support of various projects related to IT support and solutions. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and team work skills, organizational and time management abilities and good communication skills both oral and written.


The successful candidates must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations associated with this position. In addition, the successful candidate should be able to define problems, collect data, and establish facts to assist with drawing a valid conclusion. This candidate should be able to work under minimal supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.


Minimum requirements:

  • Requires student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.


Job Duties:

  • Promptly answering phone calls, e-mails, voicemails, and other questions from co-workers.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Set up and configure new PCs.
  • Effectively troubleshoot printer and printing problems.
  • Assist users with windows and windows office troubleshooting.
  • Assist land administrator with basic network troubleshooting.
  • Provide level 1 support with IT help desk.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled at multi-tasking and problem solving.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Previous experience using AS-400 computer software, the internet, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate via e-mail, telephone, and face-to-face in clear, correct, and effective English.
