Dedicated Account Manager

The Dedicated Account Manager is responsible for booking, planning, and scheduling freight in Dedicated Services to ensure trucks are moving and minimizing empty miles. This position also serves as the first point of contact for dedicated customers.

  • Work with customer to book and schedule freight
  • Plan driver’s freight for maximum utilization
  • Track loads to ensure trucks are moving
  • Maintain trucks by planning truck services
  • Edit and approve billing to be sent to customers
  • Maintain EDI by requesting freight and data entry
  • Serve as back up to Dedicated Fleet Managers
  • Book to capacity to mitigate empty miles

Required Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Proven ability to create and maintain positive customer relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or relevant field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills via telephone, email, and in person
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience with AS-400, PCMiler, Peoplenet, Netgraph, KeyWill
  • Strong multi-tasking, time-management, customer service, and organizational skills

The successful candidate should be able to define problems and establish facts to assist with creating solutions. The candidate should be able to maintain positive working relationships, work under minimal supervision with strong decision making and organizational skills with attention to detail.
